Autry Resources Center Celebrates Topping Out

The Autry Museum joined the MATT team for a jubilant Topping Out ceremony this afternoon at the Autry Resources Center in Burbank.  Members of the Autry staff, Chu + Gooding Architects, Englekirk structural Engineers, and the MATT team signed the ceremonial beam before it was hoisted into its final resting place on the building.

Project Executive, Jeff Jarrett, and Project Manager, Cesar Aviles, explained the significance of the ceremony to the crowd, and thanked the Owner and entire team for the collaborative effort.  Jarrett added, “this is also a celebration of the ironworkers, who have arrived at this day with a perfect safety record on the job.”

Stacy Lieberman, Executive Vice President of the Autry Museum, invoked an ancient blessing from her own Jewish Heritage, Shehecheyanu, thanking God for bringing us all to this long-awaited, momentous and joyful day.
