Complete structural remodel and seismic upgrade of 120,000 sf for an existing high-end, operational retail store. Scope included removal and replacement of tile throughout the sales floor, removal and replacement of carpeting, removal and replacement of the roof, replacement and upgrade to 90% of all millwork and casework, update to telephone, data, security, and fire alarm systems and complete renovation of dressing rooms and ceiling tile. The crew also reworked the existing HVAC system, adding 65 tons of capacity for Nordstrom South Coast Plaza. All work took place at night and around the store’s operating hours so that the store would retain 100% use of its space for daily commerce.
