37,000 sq. ft.
This project, adjacent to the University of Southern California campus, involved demolition of an existing single story 10,000 sq.ft. plaster chapel and student center and new construction of a Italianate Romanesque style one-story 6,000 sq. ft. stone chapel, a 14,000 sq. ft. two-story brick student center and a 7,000 sq. ft. landscaped courtyard.
The student center includes a large multi-use room with ancillary storage and kitchen facilities, two lounges and office spaces. Design treatments throughout the project feature a wide variety of traditional materials, from rich woods to sparkling stained glass, beautiful marble and varied stone.
