The 911 Tione residence is an expansive luxury getaway in the Bel Air Hills. Warm French hardwood flooring and black walnut millwork create an intimate feel throughout, while book-matched Arabescato stone from Carrera offsets comfort with drama and sophistication. Other unexpected wall textures like wood slats, leather paneling and unsealed travertine blend seamlessly throughout the house in a subtle palette. Polished brass and other high-end finishes bring the luxe, tactile design together.

In the master suite of this three-story home, his and hers bathrooms with individual saunas connect via a plunge pool that spills out onto the master terrace. Hers and his master closets with a shared sitting room round out the suite. On the rooftop, a Zen garden and library open to the living room below.

The lower floor houses four suites, three staff quarters and a theater, yet the focal point of this floor is the wine room. Backed by a wine cave lined with a temperature-controlled, custom-glass wine cabinet, the wine room opens to an infinity pool with stunning views of the Los Angeles basin beyond.

In the adjacent guest home, two suites and a gym open to an additional infinity pool. On the lower floor, the tennis court shares space with one of two subterranean garages, where Tesla charging stations stand at the ready.

MATT Construction navigated the 2:1 grade on this challenging hillside, working with government agencies and within restricted hours to build this modernist retreat on an expedited schedule.
