MATT’s team renovated an office building on a tight site at a heavily trafficked intersection. Upgrades to 9399 Wilshire Boulevard included a completely new exterior façade, skylights and updates to MEPF and HVAC systems. To increase the building’s flexibility, retail storefronts were added at street level. At the rear of the building, the team constructed a new ipe wood balcony with an ipe wood and steel spiral stairway leading to the roof. Despite the fast-track, six-month schedule, the interior finishes maintained the exacting standards of the architect and the owner.
