Major renovation to the top three floors of an existing 33-story building in downtown Los Angeles. The AT&T Tower Penthouse expansion consisted of demolition of the observation deck on the 30th floor, demolition of the existing interiors, installation of a new curtain wall system which encloses floors 30 through 32, installation of a new raised flooring system on the 30th floor and finish buildout for new tenants. With all of the 30 floors below the construction zone fully occupied, this project required stringent safety and intense coordination. The project was awarded a 2008 TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year) in the renovation category from BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) of Greater Los Angeles.
