Professor Yisong Yue, who teaches Computing and Mathematical Sciences at Caltech and also serves on the Scientific Committee for the Center for Autonomous Systems and Technology (CAST), discusses the challenges of creating autonomous systems, the exciting potential of the laboratory spaces that MATT helped to build and the strong culture of interdisciplinary collaboration that has come out of these new facilities.
