Brian Saenger leads MATT Construction as CEO, bringing more than 20 years of executive experience in real estate development, operations, and law. Before joining MATT, he served as President & CEO of The Ratkovich Company, a Los Angeles-based development firm known for its transformative urban infill and historic rehabilitation projects. During his tenure, Brian helped raise over $1.5 billion in capital and led more than $500 million in acquisitions.
Brian’s diverse background—as a real estate developer, business and civic leader, and attorney—gives him a unique perspective of the construction industry. He has overseen complex projects across office, retail, hospitality, and mixed-use sectors, and built strong relationships with developers, investors, policymakers, architects, and construction professionals. For the past five years, the Los Angeles Business Journal has recognized him as one of the 500 most influential people in Los Angeles.
Brian earned his J.D. with honors from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review, and he holds a B.A. from UCLA.
