Best of the Best

This month the MATT Construction team accepted its first National Best Cultural Project award from ENR Magazine for its adaptive reuse project, the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts. Dan and Nancy Stafford flew to New York on behalf of MATT to accept the award with architects Zoltan Pali and Judit Fekete of SPF:a.

Judges including prominent architects, engineers, general contractors and other construction industry professionals worked with the ENR editorial team to identify the pinnacle of design and construction achievement in the U.S. among more than 700 regional projects completed between June 2013 and June 2014. Top regional winners in each category advanced to the national competition, where judges evaluated projects’ merit in terms of teamwork, safety, overcoming challenges, innovation and quality.
